The factory where Schuco produced all Schabak models in the past went bankrupty some month ago. The issue is that Schuco has problems to get the current moulds out of the factory. It will be a long and hard conflict for Schuco with the bankrupty Chinese manufacturer to get the "old" moulds back. All models from the 2011 program are cancelled! There will be no new releases for this year anymore!
To avoid a lack of production, Schuco found a new factory and already started the production of completly new moulds. First models will be the bigger aircrafts like the A380, 747, 777, A330 or A340-600. But it seems we have to wait until the Toy Fair 2012 to see the first releases. Even Chinese factories aren't able to produce at such low cost they once did anymore. To afford this investment, Schuco increased the prize of the models again, but aircraft-models.net is once again trying to pass as little as possible to his customers, which results in an increase from 8,90 to 9,50 EUR. Schucos official retail prize is 11,95 Euro for bigger models like the A380 or 747 and 9,95 for smaller ones. | |

Sorry to hear about the production problems, but looking forward to the new molds in 2012. Thanks for the updates!
