Only in german, sorry.

This will be the first time that they name a plane with a non german city/state.
Despite the A340 Gander/Halifax.
Sounds like a joke (I've read the news article on aero.de). I'll wait for the final delivery.

Thanks for the infos. Can't beleive this. We have so many beautiful cities in Germany and they put Peking on this plane! Whats next, Shanghai, HongKong? Unbeleivable!

Maybe it' was just a matter of how much Peking was willing to pay!

This is the second LH aircraft not named after a German city (or federal state), right?! There only is the A340 named 'Gander/Halifax', and then there was Lufthansa's former cargo division which had its 747-200F named after worldwide cities and continents.

The fourth A380, D-AIMD, will be named "Tokyo". All A380 will be called after Star Alliance Hubs as its stated on airlines.de.
Which Super Jumbo will carry world famous cities like Ljubljana or Cleveland, Ohio??

Don't know about Cleveland, but I won't call Ljubljana a Star Hub, even if it's Adria's home base. Too little traffic.
