New 2012 releases

Have seen various sceptical and understandable remarks on the new production. As a last effort, may I not ask each one of you to join in writing the responsible directly. It may well be in vain (as usual) but at least explains thoughts of a large gropup of hitherto faithful collectors.

And please keep in mind that your action shall also be in support of Super-Conny when at the Toy Fair. They need to know that he does not stand alone on this view. These new remind me of Matchbos kid's toys and if Schuco believe that to be their future market, so be it. At least we did what we could.
Thankful for your support and action though probably some 35 years of collecting "down the drain".

For the moment, I'm rather surprised than disappointed. Guess we really need to take a look at the real models until we can make a final judgement. So I'll wait for Wilfried's report first. If the models really look bad, I'll feel free to use the mail adress you found. :wink:

dont know how you find this email
but we have finaly our decision taken today .

We have refused today our order of news , taken at the fair on saturday .
After massive negative commets from any collector , no chance
to sell the new "toy like" moulds ...

Have posponed the order, in case the old moulds from the bankrupted factory
may come back and will used for new items again !
But I see real no good chance .

:thinking: Hm. Thats a hard decision! But if so many collectors share a joint opinion this step had to be the only one, as sad as it is!

My deepest hope is, that the guys at Schuco get back their former machines from the closed factory and that they open their ears to the collectors a little bit more and stop the toy things.

Unfortunatly: As long as parents buy the models "inflight" or in DutyFree- Shops for their kiddies so that the cashflow is OK for Schuco, they won't spare a thought about changing their "direction" into a more collectorfriendly behavior. Sad but "Welcome to the economy of 21st century"!

I do not think Schuco can make money with casual shoppers and children. Only the wake of the collecting actuating drive can make a little profit. Either the manager there are philistines, or they act against their better judgment.
We can hope that a new manufacturer goes into our scale. I think it would be absolutely great if Herpa Magic would come back.

planned for delivery after April until June 2012 ...

That means, all moulds wilbe recreated b4 ....
