today I got my ordered aero classics ..
all OK, but exact the original pack of 6 DC-8 Lufthansa a bit crazy ..
one model with complete loose wheels in parts, lying in some different corner of the inner plastic packing ..:doh:

it looks like that US collectors has no more money for their hobby :wondering:
aeroclassics offer in the september release only 4 american/candian models
but 18 europeans :smile:

including famous KLM DC-8-5 and 63 with several liveries
AZ DC-8-5 and IB DC-8-5 ...

Well... money talks! :wink: Obviously, the European market offers a certain potential for additional growth whereas in the U.S. more and more collectors are abandoning their 1/400 hobby (however, I cannot tell whether they are running out of money or they are just fed up with all the scrap that has been (and still is being) released during the past years). Furthermore, I guess that several 1/400 guys have switched to 1/200 - just like in Europe and everywhere in the world of collecting scale models.

With regard to AeroClassics, one should mention that Andrew Klein has always been a specialist concerning the aircraft and airline choices for his releases. He started up with the Fairchild FH-227, Vickers VC-10, and L-188 Electra (not very common types, I would say)... and the airline liveries have always been quite 'extraordinary'... even on the 767s or 747s he released.

I still love a well known Airline and after the famous DC-9-3 all colours

Note that all four CV-990s are in different colour schemes. The Iberia model is a hybrid Spantax/Iberia Coronado, then we are cruising thru the complete portfolio of Spantax CV-990 liveries. The 'CNF' is wearing old colours, the 'BQA' basic old colours with new titles and tail logo, and the 'BZO' is in full new colours.

First LAB I`ve seen on 1:400 and first LAB `ve see on the original livery
727-200 called now "Ezequiel" flying today in charter flights for TAM-Bolivia on this same retro livery.

I wonder why they don`t make the 727-100 CP-861, a real symbol for LAB. Delivery to LAB on 1970 fisrt charlie_Papa jetliner she flew until 2005 without any problem in 35 years of service over the Andes skies hard work for a hard plane.
