@MBB600: the Asiana A330 is your ex-Swissair ... just took a picture of her 10 days ago at Shanghai Pudong and I thaught: she looks smart, I should do her ...

TU204 Cubana; I am just having fun at the moment ...
@Richard: I only just read your thread about the "closure" of your famous airport :crying: ... keep going, you ARE an icon, man ! And I love your custom models !
@Wilfried: two left hands??? :lipssealed: as you know, you are the one to keep the scale going !!!! Ach ja, wie war das mit der Valujet DC-9? ... sobald ich 2 kurze MD's auftreiben kann, mache ich "one each", ok?

And you are on the best way becoming an icon, too! What is the Tu204 based on? 757? Just impressive!

Okay, just thought about it . There is already a real Tu-204. That's what you get Schabak/Schuco for doing...nothing. My mind is even negating the existing models.:crying:

it is an ex Aeroflot Tu204 that was in a rather misserable state; now it is a proud bird again.
I am not into doing moulds (yet), but I thaught about it ... what is really missing - apart from older ones like the BAC111 etc. are the Embraers (170/190) and the Dash 8's/Q400's ... but how on earth doing this ? Thats where I would like the old Schabak creativity to wake up !!!!!!!!

I once tried to do a selfmade Q400 in scale600... The result wasn't too good, but at least I think it's possible to make one. I used cardboard for the wings and a drinking straw as fuselage. Maybe the result will get better if you construct more patiently than I did.

i am thinking of a Q300, but I try to "rework" a F27 mould; see how it will turn out, maybe not at all ...
Anyway, 2 new works: B733C MistralAir (Italy) and MD-90 Iceland Express (leased from Hello CH). Title of the MistralAir doesn't sit quite right but it's ok :giggle: ...

What an impressive production and the speed increadible - a couple a week it seems. They are lovely and cannot wait to see next weeks works ... only what a pity that variety of moulds are limiting your creativity.

still love the old all-metal Schabak-moulds, with all their mistakes ... ... but a lot of soul !!! I guess for the custom-people amongst us, plastic engines and undercarriges will be a nightmare ... :crying:

Ohhh very nice work you are an artist I specially love that 733, A320 and the md-90. I wonder how do you do to fix the decal paper on the tail of tu-204 and 733 (tail and nose, the yellow), I´m triying a Faucett-peru 732 I think I have to paint and later apply a clear decal only with windows, doors and titles?

Yes, in fact, I mix all sorts of things. In case of the Air Mistral 733 I painted the nose and tail yellow first, before applying the windows etc; at the Cubana Tu204, I applied the Logo-Fin first and then extending the paint scheme with enamel paint around the wing and body. Sometimes I use pictures of the Tail-Fin - or even the whole bird, see the salmon-30-salmon - it just depends on the livery. There are no limits to our creativity (unlike the Schuco-cowboys... it should be so much fun when you have all the gear and latest technology unlike us who use only paint, sandpaper, photoshop etc., but they fxxx it all up ...)

in the middle of all this turmoil, business as usual: thanx to some props from Wilfried I could finish this Q300 Jazz Canada - and my "career" as a mould-builder-fiddler! much much too small for my fingers ... I will stick to doing custom models, based on existing moulds.
:lipssealed:
And I worry about this - if at all - future of our 600-scale-thing ...

BOY!! Did that turn out good ...
Cannot wait to see next works to come - and even if you claim finished with changing moulds, guess that shall one day present us with an IL changed to VC10?

I like to claim the first 2 VC-10 ... Caledonian and RAF ...
sunbee .. do your best , I´m the launching customer
... let me dream a bit ....

You have to cut off about 8 mm. of IL-62 to get a VC-10 right? haha and the tail is different but all the rest similar.
sunbee
02-07-2012, 11:36 AM
ok, Wilfried will be the launch customer of the VC10 ... ... the day I will come across an old IL62. I love dreams ... (computerwise this should be a rather easy job, so the schuco/schabak/chinese-guys should get their axxxs with both hands and just do this, but with simply fingers, sandpaper, impatience etc. ...) :lipssealed:
Anyway -as I have to hurry at the moment, 2 more customs: A330 China Eastern "Skyteam", B732 "Vanguard"
I must say, applying clear decal over silver paint appears to be rather milky. So the old Schabak-people/grannies might be excused for the yellow-creamy-clear-whatever look ...

Wow those are exceptional models well done. Your DHC-8 is very impressive and really looks like the real thing. Your models are soo much more exciting than the real Schuco releases!

thanks Richard. The "Vanguard" B732 only came in my mind because of your thread about the American Airlines ...
