I think this part of the forum is the best to say hello to you guys.

My passion for 1/600 scale began in 1992, when I started my apperenticeship near Frankfurt airport.
From time to time I left the train back home at the airport to buy a new model of the Schabaks. I started to build a paper model airport but without a relation to any airport.

My passion fell asleep in the years after my apprenticeship and unfortunatly my Schabaks and the airport disapeared, first in the bed drawer, later at a place called "Idon'tknowwhere", which is a real shame!!

In July 2011 I made a Sunday afternoon trip with my wife and my 2 year old son to FRA and the passion came back.

I soon found this board and super conny where I got some of my current Schabaks/Schucos from in the last month!

In addition I started to build an airport again!

Frankfurt Airport!

Meanwhile I wait for the Schuco-production to start again, with hopefully new great models for collectors!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Otherwise I will bit by bit take part in the discussions on this board!

Always happy landings!

MARKUS

Well Markus,
Maximillian could not have said it better -at these times wonderful to see "a new" (not so new after all) collector amongst us. Checked out your airport project and seems going well. Am myself working on what shall (maybe once) be some 3x2m, which I do in "words graphics" using various Herpa (though partly remade) as terminals and also Herpa 1/500 as GSE.
Shall have to get in touch one of these days to maybe compare problem solving and exchange ideas.
But for now - welcome indeed!

Yeah, that's a great start for an airport project! Very detailed slides - I once thought about producing the apron surface with the help of PowerPoint as well but haven't continued this yet.
