The Etihad looks much better than the former Schabak A330, so I think I'll buy it as well.

The swiss and the two EgyptAirs are great, too, but are already available (and reserved for me by the one and only Mr. Oppermann).

OK lets count. I checked the catalouge as well. Egypt A330&A320, Swiss A320 and Qantas 747 already available. Two "old" Schabak re-releases. Gues the LH A330 got the Lufthansa.com sticker or a new reg. So we have five new releases. I really hope this is not everything for 2011. More infos on Sunday...

I can't say I'm very impressed with these models. All are ordinary airlines and only Olympic and Malev are even new despite there being a pretty poor range of airlines made overall.

Plus there is no sign of the new A321 or 747-300 mould they advertised last year and they have a growing list of models being made in the airline's old colours (United, Garuda etc). Add to that that they fail to mention anything of the release of the new 777 and A340-600 moulds.

Lastly just wtf was up with the 747-800 mould that was produced! Were these just mistakes at the factory????????? I assume a real 748 will appear eventually.

Will we ever get any answers - I doubt it. Nothing here that'd make me think about starting to collect Schucos again :doh:.

And also very strange this LH 744 with the Registration D-ABTV (maybe they mean D-ABVT) and a new Number 403554135 on the website. Seems like a new version and 403551335 is cancelled (D-ABVB).

Ohh I wonder who is in charge on this company , they have the tools to improve their products and they don`t maybe because they don´t really want to. With some simple changes these models - and this scale- could be much better.
Anyway I like the egypt, s7 and japan liveries.

one of the pictures of CO777 shows a LH-744 with 50 years colours, so your first assumption was almost right. I think Schuco transposed the registrations.

Correct. Both new LH 747 are D-ABVH "Düsseldorf". And the A319 was never a splitted mould. So just one piece.

The Virgin 747 looks like its in the new livery.

Thanks to Julian and Wilfried for updating the database and their website respectively I have been able to update the list of new Schucos made (v2.3 - I'm just about to email it to Julian for upload to the download section).

There are now 188 models that have been made by Schuco - whether they know about them or not :bigsmile:


Interesting points from looking at the list:

There were quite a lot of cancellations - mainly but not all where the airline livery has changed (Sata, Taca, Northwest, LTU etc)
Quite a few special colours were cancelled (Bearbus, Iberia etc)
There has been a contraction in the range of moulds being used - there are no longer any 717, 737-400, 747-200, 747-300, 757-200, 757-300s.
There are now only one A310, 747SP, IL86, IL96 being made
The 747-400 is still where it is at for Schuco - despite it leaving many fleets there were 5 new versions (more than any other type)
There were NO new 777-200s despite this being the 2nd most common type Schuco has made

Just noticed there are actually 189 models - I'd forgotten the second version of the Rossia IL96. I've amended the list and remailed it to Julian for putting up in the downloads section.

The behaviour of Schuco as regards the moulds is certainly odd I agree. The 747-300 was always a strange choice for a mould upgrade. It does seem however that when Schuco is upgrading the moulds what it really means is that it makes them one piece :doh:. Many of the moulds need a complete rework and that seemed like what they were going to do when they started with the 747-400. Perhaps the economic situation has led them to backtrack and do cheaper one piece moulds of the existing two piece moulds.

I predict therefore that there will be no new A320 and an awful one piece version of the A340 mould by about 2014.

Still it is good to see that they are still making models I guess.

I'm quite disappointed. Too many standard models. Nothing special. The only orders I will made are 744 LH 50th, 320 Olympic and 319 S7.

It seems they focussed on the models running best at the airports. That's too bad for us. Still waiting for MD-11 LH Cargo. And no 748 announced yet. :-(

im very disappointed as well, every year its even worse with schuco

no new model except the 744 LH 50, and 319 S7 for other all are just old schabak or schuco models ... 330 LH oh my gosh what a big deal !!! ( i dont talk about the malev and olympic, their livery sucks !!! )

with the world changing around us, nothing on the NWA fleet in DL colors like the 744, DC9 or 330 !!!

more than 1 and a half hr !

We hope that this will have a change in their minds about
quantity and qualilty in future ....
but we expect at least a half year until any result wilbe known ....

2011 is over and there are some models which are not realised nowadays. Is there a chance that we see a A319 of S7-Airlines and a Boeing 738 of Malev after their insolvence? Futhermore there are many liveries on A346-aircraft-new mould. Did Schuco produced A346 of Qatar Airways on the new mould our only on the first one?

the A340-6 Qatar was only made with the old mould.

All moulds (Schuco, not the old Schabak´s ! ) under investigation to rebuild complete new, as the samples shown at Nuremberg Toy Fair been rejekted !

News about decision and which one first, not known b4 may/june ...:confused:
