Tusen takk!
During my recent travels throughout the Norwegian Hemisphere I came across this scale 600 model airport of Trondheim Vaernes.
They even got a British Caledonian Charter DC-10 charter in that day.

Sweet. What scale are the buildings and accesories?

Interesting airport. Was this at Trondheim itself? Judging by the schabaks being used this must date from the mid 1980s.
They certainly put a lot of effort into the terminal buildings. It's a shame they didn't try and make the airside realistic with proper markings and airbridges. Nice to see some of these models stillexist though. I can recall seeing several back in the 80s and I have a book with a picture of a model of one of the Moscow airports that uses Schabaks.

during my flights to Hannover in the 80th, at HAJ, Terminal one, departure hall,
was also a big model with Schabaks, but I never made a photo of it ..
(at that time only T1 and T2 exist)

Very smart pics my friend - would like to see such kind of dioramas on most airports around the world . But only with our 1:600 Schuco/Schabak's :-)))

I have some more pix, not sure whether I can still post them or do I need to open a new post?
Location of this scale airport is at the far end of the terminal left from the security lines. Here SAS flies up to Tromsų, Bergen and Oslo (also Norwegian.no). There is a big board that shows you some history since airport has been opened in 1914.
You missed as it is not captured on the pictures a Finnair ATR-42, Linjeflyg F-28 and a Busy Bee F-27
Looking forward to seeing some of you in Frankfurt this weekend!
Will keep my eyes open for other model airports.

See where the diorama is located, a nice 1/600 gas station, the Busy Bees and Linjeflygs of Trondheim
Enjoy

Nice pictures Frank, thanks for sharing. But the trucks & GSE can't be 1/600 if you look closer at the last picture. I guess its 1/1000.
