On my way back to England I got a few more hours on the Amsterdam viewing area though again the runways being used weren't favourable for spotting. One of the great things about AMS are the KLM MD11s and at this time there were 3 parked at gates next to the viewing area which was excellent.
1. PH-BQE a KLM 777-300
2. PH-KCG at the E pier
3. PH-MCM - a Martinair 767-300 - in the wonderful new colourscheme
4. TC-TJE - a Corendon 737-300 - they should write a book about all the different turkish charter airlines over the years!
5. Another view of PH-KCG Maria Callas with two new Delta A330s beyond

8. Annie Romein at the gate
9. Pushback for one of the DL 330s
10. My second 737-900 after the KE one was PH-BXO 'Plover'

11. Do Privatair operate transatlantic services for KLM? HB-JJA with winglets.
12. PH-KZO - The Cityhopper fleet and other regionals were very hard to see from the terrrace.
13. A 737-600 HA-LOF of Malev
14. I really like the modified KLM colours- here it is the 737-800 PH-BXK
15. I'm still undecided about the new Egyptair colours as worn here by 737-800 SU-GDC

16. Transavia's new colours are actually a nice change from most of the low cost liveries. Here it is PH-HZG.
17. PH-BVC taxiing to the active runway
18. A busy pier scene with the expected KLM 737s, a BA A319 and 2 Arkefly 737-800s. Later on one of the new London City BA ERJs arrived.
19. Occassionally departures would turn over the viewing area after takeoff like KLM Cityhopper F50 PH-LKT
20. B-18203 a Dynasty 747-400

21. PH-HZL parked at one of the remote gates
22. Inside the terminal you can walk to some of the spots that are hidden from the terrace like the inside of the big Y pier where Cityjet operate their Air France branded flights using RJs like EI-RJJ
23. PH-BFK from inside the departures area between F and G pier
24. 3 Easyjet A319s arrived at H pier close together flying to places like Liverpool.
25. My flight to Exeter was onboard a FlyBe DHC8-Q400 (G-JECN)

Again nice pics Richard. You are lost in AMS if you don't have a car. Its indeed very sad that the RWY's so far apart. But the spotting position at the Polderbaan is just awsome.
Privatair flys to Houston for KLM.
And I've just found this nice toy on a.net. Great Live Radar from AMS!

It seems AMS ist big business for Corendon. I saw them only once in Germany, but our Dutch neighbours are served much more regularly.
And I'm always excited how spotter-friendly an airport can be! This web-radar service is really cool, the Polderbaan is active for arrivals at the moment...
