View Full Version : Schuco New Moulds We Want

Schabak and now Schuco really annoy me with their mistreatment of the A330 and A340. The A340 mould is hideous and looks very little like the beautiful A340-300 let alone the -500 they sometimes use it for. The A330 is a bit better (mainly because of the longer undercarriage) but still most of the models they make are supposed to be -200s.
I put my vote in for the A340 to be the new mould of next year - if they are only going to make one new mould each year that is!
Plus how difficult can it be for them to make a 747-400F mould with a short upper deck! At least the new 747-400BCFs have a long upper deck I guess.

I vote for small jets such as the Embraer family or the CRJ 700/900.

Because a they need a new mould for the 747-400F.
And thats to expensive at the moment.
But I hope they improve the A340 and A330 next.
And maybe some new Regional Jets like LH744 already said.

I remember talking with Wolfgang Stolpe and complaining about the lack of small planes (I was complaining about the lack of 737s etc not even new moulds) and he basically told me that small moulds don't sell. So I doubt that Schuco will produce any regional jets in the near future which is a shame. I'd love to see the EMB170-195.
I would be surprised to see any new moulds other than 787 and A350 variants but then again Schabak did pleasantly surprise me with the TU154 mould.
Overrall I'd be quite happy for Schuco to start reusing all the old Schabak moulds again.

And he was right!
I guess Mr. Stolpe said that after he produced all the small Schabak moulds like the ATR's, Saab 340, CRJ and saw that they didn't sell well. We can count the different schemes at one hand.
Or Have a look at the biggers scales too.
Gemini Jets offers the CRJ200/700/900 but only for a handful different liverys.

For me, the EMBRAER Family 170/175/190/195 is most important, the EMBRAER 145 as well. (and CRJ-900)
The A330-200 should come. But i think, why a better mould? Why not on the basic of the old one? OK, they looked not good, but in case of a new form you have to phase out all the Schabak 330/340.
I loved to see L-1011-500, VC-10, DC-8 short fuselage, Trident, BAC 1-11, DC-9-30 (not a 717) (remember the old schuco mould?). But this is a dream I know.

I would be very happy with a B777-300ER mould. And all differences in Airbus, 330-200, -300, A340-200, -500. And what about B747-400F.
Ok I know these small changes wonīt be realistic because of the cost to benefit factor for Schuco.
If you talk about all these babies I'd like to add the 747-8i and 747-8F
:-)
I think design freeze already happened? Then it's not an issue to create the new mould...

I think there is a good chance of seeing the 748 if only because LH have ordered them. Sooner or later everything in LH colours gets released which is why I have always been surprised not to see the LH Cargo MD11.

Excactly my opinion ! Would like to see more cargo aircrafts just like the EVA , UPS and Shanghai MD11; the B747-400F (new mould) of TNT, Jade, AirBridge, World etc. and the upcoming B777F from Airfrance, FedEx ,Korean and Airlogistics -
but seems to be at the moment only a pious hope

That's true. Problem was that Schabak concentrated on the airlines (almost exclusively), and the airlines ordered 1/600 planes for their marketing purposes (as give-away items). Now guess... what's more impressive to your customers and partners: a 747 or a CRJ200?!?
Anyway, back on topic: count me in for any improved and corrected mould of current aircraft types: A340-500, 717, TriStar 500, A330-200, ...

An-124, AN-224 and IL-76
Ha ha we can dream can't we! They'd be great especially the IL76. One in Iraqi Airways colours would be nice. An AN12 would be good too!
I think it's all going to be Boeing and Airbus from here onwards and they can't even get them right!

Exactly about the Iraqi Airways. Would be great to have:-) But as you said your self it might only be in our dreams :-(
Perhaps we should start up our own factory.......

An-124, AN-224 and IL-76
Good joke. To be honest I guess it is very very very difficult to earn money with the AN124 and AN224. They are not really popular planes.
But I can help you with the AN224 but its in the wrong scale.

I can tell you for a fact that the CRJ 200 doesn't climb like a home sick angel but it rolls like a fighter!
