Just found some planes I gave the kids a while back when a drug store in Northern California had a box of them. Bought a few for the kids and then went back and bought myself some to stash away.
I am very impressed with how they have lasted even with my kids playing with them. The United 747SP looks fantastic even with half the paint missing!
I am a pilot and fly the CRJ 700 out of SFO.
Anyone know of a source for new Schabaks?
Best Regards, Chris

Welcome to the forum, Wilfried and his great site:
http://www.aircraft-models.net/ (check out the Schuco aviation 600 pages)
is the place for new schabaks which are nowadays tampo printed rather than decaled and are actually made by Schuco since they bought out the remains of schabak in 2006.
They make a much smaller range than Schabak did but have upgraded the 747-400 mould (which is now excellent) and created new moulds for the A380 and 787.
You can also check out eBay for old and new schabaks. Check the downloads page for lists of the Schabaks and new Schuco Schabaks that have been made.

Thanks for the info. Nice airport! I seem to have the bug pretty bad.

Hi Chris and welcome to this Forum. If you are a fan of the Boeing 747SP I recommend you the American Airlines model. The chrome look is just awsome!

I've been pretty lucky. I still have fun at work and enjoy what I do. The industry is having a rough time. Sometimes I get enough of it and like to enjoy my other hobbies but I try to keep my kids enthusiastic about flying.
Yesterday I flew an CRJ with 106 hours on it. That was fun. Not a scratch on it.
