If you've seen the complete schabak list I wrote with help from Julian and lots of others (its in the downloads section and currently up to v1.6) then you'll see there are quite a few models that were cancelled by Schabak without ever going into production.

Quite a lot of them seem to come from the 2003 new models that I saw on the attached advertising. You can see that only about half of the models on it were ever made which is a real shame because some of the unmade ones would have been real beauties.

For example:

EL AL new colours 747-400
China Airlines A340
Sri Lankan A330
ATA 757-300
Icelandair 757-300
Monarch new colours A321
Buzz 146

I assume that the Air Afrique A330 wasn't made because they went bankrupt around then and Buzz was obviously merged with Ryanair (or was it Easyjet I can't recall).

Also I remember hearing that the Braniff DC8 had changed from blue to green in colour and then was cancelled because Schabak didn't make the right type of DC8 mould (that never stopped them before ).

Anyway its an interesting bunch and anymore info on these models would be most welcome. I expect most (like the EK A380) were never made though just because Schabak was loosing money.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that some of the new models were a bit odd, for example an Air India A310 and Libyan A300. I wish they'd have made the A310 because that would have fitted perfectly into my 1997 dated model airport which is a bit short of Indian aircraft.

Then there's Vuela Mex which was a Mexican startup using 717s that got a painted plane but never did start up!

I really wonder why Schabak made only the Condor and Northwest 753 models and cancelled the ATA and Icelandair??

And what's up with Cathay Pacific? This is one of the most beautiful airlines in the world. But not yet produced by Schuco.

Cathay Pacific used to be made by Schabak but I believe they had a falling out over the use of them (possibly because Schabak never got permission to use them - can someone confirm) so Schabak had to stop making CX planes in a hurry which is why the new colours 747-400 became so rare (well until recently )

I believe the same is true of All Nippon who Schabak rather abruptly stopped making.

I expect the the bridges were burned so badly with these airlines that Schuco has not been able to get te rights to remake them though I'm not sure if they've tried.

Yeah it's weird though to be honest I hate the 757-300 mould. They managed to take the fantastic 757-200 mould and ruin it. I just don't know why they didn't just stretch the 757-200 mould!
