Hi all, after many months my airport model is finished and I have created a website for it at:

http://www.imogenia.com/

Rather than create an existing airport I have instead created a fictional one based upon an airport like Singapore or Hong Kong. It is set on the fictional island of Imogenia, in the South China Sea, during 1997/98.

The site is split into two parts: reality and fantasy. In the Reality section I discuss my Schabak collection, custom models and the airport's construction. In the Fantasy section I imagine the model as a real airport and look at the airport's history, operators, routes served, gate plan etc. There are lots of photos of operations at IMO in the Photos section.

There will be more updates coming as some sections like the T1D photos are not done yet. Anyway I hope you enjoy your visit to Imogenia

Attached are a couple of overview photos to whet your appetite.

Very good job Rich!! :clapping::clapping::clapping:
I really like it because its not one of these boring Herpa Standard sets.
And I already spent some time on your website. A lot of stuff.

Agreed!

Great job, Richard! I intended to build my own 1/600 scale airport many years back but never started... and after all I discontinued to collect 1/600 models. Good to see that several collectors take the time in order to 'materialize' their ideas for 1/600 airports.

Hi,
My respect! I have never seen something like this before. Due to the spaceproblem in my flat I can only do small modells not appropriate for airplanes bigger than the 767-300.

Be excited to see my pictures soon!

HI I am new here and like this site of yours!

I will build my own airport one day and it will be JKIA (Jomo kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi Kenya)

Your airport has inspired me very much to start building.

Hope you can help me to start.

And one more thing what models do you have for sale if any!

Wooden cars? I assume you are referring to the small vehicles made out of balsa wood that are on the airport model. They don't look very good but they do the job for now. car = automobile = coche / automovil in Spanish Google tells me.

I can`t see the cars in the picture, anyway I`ve seen some wooden cars models here where I live and that`s look like a hard work.

Have a look at the photo galleries at the actual site http://www.imogenia.com/index.php and you can see them.
