Hi,
Attached is a zipped Excel version of my list. It is very hard to create a meaningful list of schabaks simply which is why nowadays I use the full list (available in the downloads section) that several of us have been cobbling together over the past few years. There are just soo many versions of the same model around.

I have been mad enough to collect around 1678 of the old Schabaks plus most of the new Schuco Schabaks (100+) too though I believe there are bigger collectors out there than me (Tony?, Volker?, Jose?, Julian?). How many models do you have now guys??

By the way I wouldn't call the CO A340 or Uzbek IL62 rare models. It is hard to say what is rare given that we don't know how many were ever made (and neither did Schabak ) but those two are fairly standard schabaks in my opinion.

Incidentally how come you have so many LOT planes?

oops i have like a couple more that i have,

1 Qantas B747-400
1 Air New Zealand 777-200Er
1 Air Pacific B747-400
1 Eva Air 777-300ER
1 JAL A300
1 JAL B777-200ER

I have so many LOTs because
a) Im from Poland
b) Everytime i fly LOT to Poland i buy some.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It would be cool to know who has the biggest collection! A guy from Berlin told me he owns over 3000 Schabak models but many are twice. But who knows if its true!

Ok here is my list. Currently I own 1314 different 1:600 Schabak models (Schuco is not included)

It seems my collection is one of the smallest...

Here is my list with 208 models. As I update this file only once a year, some models I have are not included yet. So my collection contains about 240 models. Also NOT included are the ones with damaged decals from the times when I was a child.

So, all in all I am the owner of 26 regular Schabak releases plus two special Schabak models.

I do not collect the same livery twice (for example, just because of a different gear (old silver wheels vs. new black wheels) or an updated decal design (new silver cabin windows vs. old back cabin windows)), therefore, the number of models is limited and I guess my L-1011 collection is almost complete.

Hi All,
I am home from Peru and I am back in my house but still not very much time for my planes.
Sorry Rich the planes at Lima were very few and far between, KLM naturally, Iberia, Avianco some cargo, COPA, TACA but little to get excited about. For the military collectors there was a lot of MIL helicopters and other military aircraft at one end of the runway, unfortunately no photo's as it was dusk as we left Lima.
Fantastic country, the people were great and the senery as we trekked for 6 days through the Andes to Machu Picchu was stunning, only 2 cloudy days in the 3 weeks we were out there. IT MUST BE DONE!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Emin I now have 1981 Schabak (all different, and not inlcuding the new Schuco/Schabak) with photo's subject to a few I will be sending Rich for confirmation soon.. A300 Continental ssw, NWA B742 ssw and a LH L1049 silver windows.... plus a few other bits and bobs.

If anybody wants to help get that magic 2000 up then please ask for my list (chewts1@aol.com) and we can see if anybody has some I need and of course is will to part with them.
I will try and get involved with the forum a little more but with 3 small granchildren 4 blocks down the road it's not gonna be easy.

Til later
