Hello everyone,
Here are som pic of my airport. It is made of two Herpa starter set.
Normally I am not a fan of their airports but I got theme so I have an indication of how much space it takes. I am planning to build one in the future
I am an old schooler so this scene shows the good old days.
The 747 SAS that comes out of the hangar has just been repainted to the "new" livery. The two SAS DC-9 is waiting to be repainting.
Enjoy.
Best regards Emin

I love the classic airplanes pictures, this is my first time I see pics of herpa 1:500 airport accesories with 1:600 airplanes (I read about it somewhere) I think looks great.
That picture with the Vickers, Northwest 727, and caravelle is beautifull.

I am working on my own airportdiorama myself and did not know that you could use the Herpa airport package for Scale 1:600.
Anyhow besides now runways this far away from being a horrible airport. It has some Munich spirits.
Well done:bigsmile:

I think a 1:500 scale piece could be use in 1:600 scenary when the piece is no longer than 1 centimeter. It`s something like a space borderline 1 cm sorry I can`t explane this in english. But you can get a rule and probe this.

Some information you can use:
Scale 1:600
1.6 milimeters = 1 meter
Scale 1:500
2 milimeters = 1 meter
Example: You want to make a piece of 5 meters large, in scale 1:600 it will be a piece of 8.3 milimeters large. In scale 1:500 it will be a piece of 10 milimeters (1 centimeter) of large. So the difference is 1,7 milimeters almost one scale 1:600 meter.

I'm from Italy; I love Scabak 1/600 models...and your airport is fantastic!
I did not know that Herpa 1/500 should be good for 1/600 models...great news!
